Putting you heads and shoulders above your competition...
CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES 1ST APRIL 2021
When developing any business, establishing a positive image is a key factor in building successful relationships with clients and customers.
Another big factor is your brand. Branding gets your message across, promotes your business and increases awareness of you and your company. As a result, bespoke branding photography has become increasingly popular, whereby images can be created for use in social media such as Instagram and LinkedIn, on your website and online store, mailshots, and much more.
Nowadays, many photographers are offering more than just "standard" business headshots. Shoots, sometimes involving makeup artists and stylists, tend to be extensively planned prior to the day and involve online consultations, mood boards etc.
One of the photographers most important skills is the ability to put people at their ease. I love hearing people say, "I hate having my photograph taken". So, in many ways, one of the most important factors of my job is to make the sitter relax and enjoy the process of being in front of the camera. By the end of the session, I am invariably thanked for making the session so much fun!
The images featured in this article are of Grantside CEO Steve Davis. The 2-hour long shoot incorporated several changes of clothing and locations to build up a mixed portfolio of traditional and more relaxed/stylised images. To "relax", Steve is a high altitude mountaineer, and, with Covid restrictions allowing, he is planning to climb both Everest and K2 in a single calendar year.
