I am writing to provide a further update for the works currently taking place in Wetherby.
I am happy to advise that we have completed the works on Westgate and all traffic management has now been removed. This phase of works went extremely well and has given us confidence for the remainder of the project.
We are now working on Bank Street where we have a road closure in place for the next 3 weeks between 8am and 5pm. We are going to be working very closely with all businesses and residents within this closure, to make sure that we allow as much access as possible to those who need it, particularly focusing our attention on vulnerable groups.
We will have two traffic management employees working within the Operstional team to get these people in and out of Bank St and Church Street where possible. The road will be reopened each evening from 5pm but will obviously be closed the following morning to allow work to continue.
All businesses were contacted well ahead of the scheme starting, so that we could identify deliveries, in order to allow us to facilitate the deliveries if needed.
I will continue to send updates as our work continues.
Should you have any feedback, please send it on to myself.
Once again thank you for your continued patience and support.
