This annual award established 2012 is a lasting recognition for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and can be jointly presented to a maximum of three special people who are under the age of 20.
The annual search for the brightest and bravest young people in the Wetherby area for 2015 has begun. We are looking for the young achievers who are able to demonstrate special qualities and it is hoped that this will include unsung hero who are making a contribution in the community.
These nominations could demonstrate a range of why they are extra special for example:
Bravery and fortitude
Work in the community/home
Adapting to changes in life style
Academic or sporting achievements
Kindness beyond the call of duty
Ambition to achieve
This will comprise of the Mayor of Wetherby, a representative from Churches Together, Head from one of the Wetherby Schools and a representative from The Welcome to Wetherby Team.
Date of Presentation
The award ceremony will be held in the Bramham Room of the Town Hall at 6.30 pm on Wednesday, 16th December and this will be followed by the Annual Wetherby Christmas Carol Concert commencing at 7.30pm.

The 2015 top achiever(s) will have their name added to the Jubilee Award Scroll of Honour which is located in the Bramham Room of the Town Hall.
