Yorkshire Charity Awards search for Region of the year

Founders L-R Jo Maltby (#wetherbyhour) and Melanie Malcolm (Yorkshire Ladies Links)The Yorkshire Choice Awards recognises local people and organisations that are an inspiration in their field. The categories cover a wide variety of backgrounds and skill sets, yet they all have one thing in common, the WILL TO ACHIEVE. Co-Founders, Jo Maltby (#wetherbyhour) and Melanie Malcolm (Yorkshire Ladies Links) both have a passion for business and people, and it seemed only fitting that the two would join forces to celebrate achievement in Yorkshire - partnering in 2016 with local charity, Martin House Children’s Hospice. Jo Maltby said ‘Martin House offers support to families with children and young people facing progressive life shortening illnesses across Yorkshire. They changes lives and that’s what our Awards are all about – people who make a difference’. Nominations are now open www.yorkshirechoiceawards.co.uk celebrating great business achievement and inspiring individuals throughout the area. But all eyes are on the main title - Yorkshire Region of the Year! Nominations in each category are split into regions and it’s the regions with the most votes that will be crowned the prestigious title. Melanie said ‘There are so many amazing people out there who go the extra mile or make a difference, whether in their own lives as an individual, through sport, as part of the community, or a business. Our Charity Awards are set to celebrate all that is good in Yorkshire.’ This is a people’s choice awards, the people pick the winners! It seemed only right that the region with the most votes would be crowned the ultimate title of Yorkshire Region of the Year’ Every vote counts! Nominations close October 2015. The public can nominate online at www.yorkshirechoiceawards.co.uk – choose the relevant category and answer the questions. The Award Ceremony will take place at The Pavilions of Harrogate on 16th April 2016. The nominees, their friends and family will be invited to attend the ceremony and will be joined by local celebrities and media.
